The long-awaited new Golf GTI has arrived. Continuing a tradition that began in 1976 when the legend was born, the new Golf GTI focuses on some pure qualities and principles as the original – class leading performance, dynamic handling, and sheer driving enjoyment.

As soon as you set your eyes on the new Golf GTI, you’ll feel a stirring within. Could it be a wide track, lowered sports suspension and 17” Monza Alloy Wheels that have set your pulse racing.

The new Golf GTI is powered by a new 16-valve direct injection 2.0 litre FSI turbocharged unit which develops a phenomenal 200 PS at just 5,100rpm and a hefty 280Nm of torque from only 1,800rpm.

The new engine is linked to either a slick 6-Speed manual gearbox or the new DSG automatic. The DSG gearbox can change gear faster than a manual and more smoothly than standard automatic, but with performance and fuel economy figures comparable to the manual.

This means that the GTI 200 PS Auto DSG will reach 62mph from a standstill in just 6.9 seconds and go onto a very respectable top speed of 145mph.
